The Malmo, Sweden, native Lazee set his mark in the Swedish Hiphop scene with the breakthrough hit single “Rock Away“ in 2008. He recently released his street/Hiphop inspired sophomore album “Supposed To Happen”.
Lazee made his performance debut at the Swedish P3 Gala in 2008. His outstanding performance, that included his hit single “Rock Away” (produced by iSHi & Sebastian Ingrosso) swiftly lead to a steady fan base in Sweden and throughout Scandinavia. Lazee is one of a few of Swedish Hiphop artists that have established a substantial international presence outside of Scandinavia.
While opping charts and getting heavy radio rotation in Europe, Lazee was also the supporting act for notable American artists such as Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Ne-Yo, Wyclef Jean, Rick Ross and Musiq Soulchild.
In 2011, Lazee launched his independent record label, Timeless Music, which eventually led to a partnership with Universal Music. The album “Supposed To Happen” features prominent European producers such as Masse, Ishi, Mack Beats and Gameboii to hidden/unfamiliar talents. Lazee decided to move back to his street/Hiphop roots with the direction of “Supposed To Happen” compared to his debut album “Setting Standards.” Lazee has also spent a lot of time in the States working with producers and artists such Ty Fyffe, Omen, Reefa, Goodwill & MGI, Avery Storm and Marsha Ambrosius.
With album tracks such as “Gotta Go” and “Stronger” Lazee certainly delivers a unique sound that defies categorization. With 4 Grammy nominations under his belt, there is no denying that Lazee is a talented and hungry artist who is confident and fearless in taking risks.
His go-getter character which was definitely demonstrated in December 2011, when he challenged Compton Rapper, The Game, at a concert and battled the renown rapper and his crew. |
